Eh, most all people you encounter in life a hypocritical in some way, not that that makes it okay or anything. Just be prepared for it. I'm certainly hypocritical at times and I'm sure you are too. My big complaint wasn't really that Naso was getting the bush wet.  Not at all.  I believe any man, no matter his political beliefs, should get his dick wet.

What I was pissed off about was that I thought he was sexing somebody who was already in a relationship.  So my whole drunk rant about him being a hypocrite on "Reaganite values" or whatever the hell I said had to do with the typical Republican outrage at adultery and cheating.  Not "this guy got laid before marriage" sort of thing.

Maybe I'm just biased because I failed to get any of them and thus am now entirely cynical about this bullsh*t anomaly called "love".  Frankly, I think it only exists for my parents, and my brother, and 70% of the people I know.  Pretty much everybody and anybody else whose name isn't Mechaman.

Which is for the better I guess.  I'd rather grow up being a lonely piece of sh*t alcoholic with a drug addiction who watches movies all day while making up stories of a fictional world history that never was and crime fiction in Boulder, Colorado than being a tubby gutted public accountant with a white picket fence in Middle Class Suburbia with a personal slave master and having to share my resources "for the betterment of the home".

That, and the occasional girlfriend is a lot less of a hassle to deal with than a full on "LOVE FOR A LIFETIME!!!" kind of deal.  Mind you, I'd be okay with a relationship, just not one that lasts for years or decades and I have to tell the gal I love her everytime I see her.
Maybe that makes me kind of a bastard or a hypocrite, but I'm not really at all intrigued with romance or love.  Frankly I want three things in any relationship I get in: Intellectual discussion, a common love of cinema, and the occasional sex.

Nowhere in there will you see the words "love" or "forever".

B) I'm trying to imagine just how awkward, embarassing and (um) anti-climactic an experience having your first sexual experience at thirty or whatever on your wedding night would be but... yikes.

I agree with some above posters that sex is often better with someone you're in a relationship with or care about, but it's good regardless.

I don't think viewing sex as a religious sacrament is healthy, honestly. Either it'll be awkward and embarassing like everyone's first time or it'll be fantastic and you'll realise with horror what you were missing out on when you were young and virile.

Oakvale, I'm pretty sure people who waited until marriage are well aware that they won't be very good the first time. I don't think they are bothered by that; in fact, I've heard a number of them (mostly girls) view that as a positive. The idea of "ability" in that context is irrelevant as both should be at relatively the same level.

Furthermore, "how good you are" determining the worth of sex is misguided, imo, and misses the point altogether. Pleasure is a means to an end, not the end itself.
