Quite frankly, this Romney showing is close to being a disaster, as I term disasters (under 35%, within 10 points of opponent), though who knows how the media will portray it.

As always, the GOP nomination is never over until SC.

I'm not sure how a double-digit victory in a fractured field can be termed a disaster.

Most of the Boston exurbs, where Romney should have his best showing, are still out.

I figured that was a typo.  Santorum supposedly received 17 more votes than were cast in 2008, which seemed too good to be true.  50 was really 5, putting Santorum in fourth.

Romney's up to 38%, FWIW. It'd be ironic if he hit 40%, considering all the bashing that's been going on here, saying he's a complete failure for NOT breaking 40.

There's an outside chance of that happening.  Romney is cleaning up in the Boston exurbs, hitting 55% in one town (Hampton Falls).  And a lot of the Massachusetts border towns are out.  But other areas are out, too, so it's probably not likely.

All of Keene, Lebanon and Berlin, plus about 5 towns on the NH-Massachusetts border.  UNH's Durham is also out along with random towns throughout the state.

Edit: Durham just reported.  Romney won, followed by Huntsman and Paul.

How much of New Hampshire is in the Boston market?

All of the most populated counties in the southern part of the state are in the Boston TV market.  A few counties along the Connecticut River are in the Burlington-Plattsburgh TV market.  A few counties along the Maine border in northern New Hampshire are in the Portland, Maine TV market.

The Romney swing from 2008.  Romney was most improved in the Boston exurbs along the Massachusetts border (where he already did well in 2008) and Grafton County.  He underperformed 2008 in a few places, largely in the North Country and mountain areas.  Grey towns have no voters.

Edited map to add Waterville Valley.
