I don't see much chance for Perry. I can't imagine him staying in the race after tonight.

So Romney only got about 35%? Piss poor for the regional candidate who's supposed to be the frontrunner.

I'd love to see Mitt try and trump "Yes We Can" here. LOL.

Romney's collapsed 10 points in a week after winning Iowa. What an awful candidate this guy is.

Also his face is SOOOO punch-able.

He could win 99% and you Democrats would never be satisfied.

Quite frankly, this Romney showing is close to being a disaster, as I term disasters (under 35%, within 10 points of opponent), though who knows how the media will portray it.

As always, the GOP nomination is never over until SC.

I'm not sure how a double-digit victory in a fractured field can be termed a disaster.

Most of the Boston exurbs, where Romney should have his best showing, are still out.

I'm surprised how bad Perry did and how well Paul is doing.

Maybe you should look at the polls then.

But obviously Perry was supposed to get 8%, even though over 10 consecutive polls ALL had him at 1%.

I was looking for a shift to the conservative candidates by the undecided.  I'm surprised that the benefactor was Paul.

Of the top three GOP winners tonight, none are on the extreme right.

Exit polling. It's why safe states are usually called early on Election Night.

Roll Eyes at the haters trying to dismiss this as a failure.

Mitt Romney has been brutally attacked for the past week, similar to what happened to Gingrich in Iowa. The only difference is, Mitt fought back and maintained the lead. Gingrich faltered and took a dismal 4th place.

Looking at the exit polls, it seems that Romney is even doing better among the conservatives. 45% somewhat conservative 30% very conservative. Santorum seems to bee the pick for very conservatives, though.

This is as good a time to mention that I genuinely don't understand how anybody can support or like Romney. Like, at all. I can with effort get into the sorts of mindspaces that support the other Republican candidates, but I cannot comprehend how any human being could look at or listen to Mitt Romney and decide 'there's a man I want running a country'.

Considering the amount of attacks that have been thrown at him in the past week, yes.

That "Europe" place must be an awful, awful country, listening to Mitt Romney's speech here. I suspect their citizens are starving in the streets.

This is not as poor of a win as anti-Romney's are making it out to me. It's not as great as Romney supporters think it is.  It's in the middle.  I think it will still be an exciting 3 1/2 hours until Piers Morgan comes on at 11:00 pm CT.
