A revote is a bad idea. Almost as bad an idea as a recount.

A recount wasn't a bad idea. It was the law.

It's not a bad law like segregation...come on. The number of votes was so statistically insignificant that a recount was virtually required.

I support good laws and oppose bad ones. Any other questions?

They should have just done a hand count the first time if that's what they think is the most accurate. But the first count should stand. I advocate completely computerizing the process with touch screen voting systems.

Then I'd count the paper trail and compare the results. If they're not close, something is wrong with the computerized voting system. If they are, the computer's numbers are more likely correct.

I agree. Gasp.

This is a tremendous error in judgement on Rossi's part.  I concur that this election has some irregularities... but we cannot go setting the precedent of having a re-vote whenever there is an irregularity that might affect the outcome.

Not a good choice on Rossi's part, at least I don't think so. His speech sucked too.

Rossi just has to accept it was an ultra-close result and needs to get on with his life!

The truth of the matter is simply that Logan won the election for Gregoire, and that if their were a revote, Logan would 'find' as many votes as it takes to elect Gregoire.

As long as Logan and his crew are running things in King county, when he decides someone will be elected, no matter how the people actually vote, Logan's candidate will emerge victories, after Logan 'finds' enough votes.

ah yes, more mindless claims that the votes that gave Gregoire her margin of victory are fradulent with no proof to back it up.

Ah, but a request for records which may indicate fraud has been made by Mr. Vance, and King county is stonewalling release of what are by law, PUBLIC records.

I wonder if the signature rosters will end up be missing?

Mr. Vance? You mean the Republican party chairman? I'm lost.

Is there anyone not comitting fraud here? What fraud could it reveal?

Yesterday I heard about a Chehalis County couple who apparently mailed in ballots they have never seen before. It's crazy.

EDIT: Lewis County, not Chehalis County - my apologies. The couple was from Centralia, which is the twin city of Chehalis, and I'm easily confused.

There are a number of specific allegations with respect to the King county vote which have been previously made.

Where votes counted where a person did NOT sign the register?

Did the total number of votes exceed those for whom signatures are available from a given precinct (combined polling place roster and request for absentee ballot).

One of the specific allegations is that votes WERE counted where there was NO signature on file whatsoever.

Also, there are specific allegations that votes intially counted were (without explanation) NOT counted in the final count.

You had earlier said you were willing to have a thorough examination to see what exactly happened.

I hope you still are supporting such an investigation.

The fact that King county officals are delaying providing public information which would shed light on this matter is most enlightening.

If some of the documents requested 'turn up missing,' will you continue to tell us of Logan's 'innocence.?

Here's a deal for Rossi:
Revote in Washington - if there's a revote in the other 49 states as well.

I don't believe Rossi was on the ballot in the other 49 states, though I'd be happy to have a re-vote for Tennessee Governor Smiley
