Gore wins 2000 after getting endorsed by Ralph Nader he takes 296 electoral votes (the abstaining elector from DC, Florida and New Hampshire) as well as 51% of pop vote. He ushers in a new era of bipartisanship in his first SOTU, making GOP appointments to his cabinet. After 9/11 (sorry for those who believe in Bush inside job), he gets Cong approval to attack Afghanistan but VP Joe Lieberman and Secretary of Defense John McCain push for Iraq, the former threatening to break a tie vote in the Senate to invade Iraq. With GOP pundits bringing up his anti-profiling history regarding Muslims and other ethnoreligious groups, he is pressured into declaring another war on all sides. He raises taxes to fund the wars, keeping the budget balanced. In 2004, he once again defeats Bush with a slightly wider margin. His federal funding to repair New Orleans levees is deemed wasteful by GOP. Continue?
