This is a bizarre turn.  Apparently Rick Perry is friends with Aga Khan and advocated for a Muslim friendly curriculum in Texas public schools.  Like clockwork the anti-Sharia crowd has shown up to disparage the Texas governor.  This is going to be an interesting race.

Maybe Perry has the same tolerance issues as Romney?

Rick Perry has a whole bunch of issues that are going to destroy him, but not being overtly hostile to Muslims isn't one of them.

But I like the Aga Khan! He's delightfully anachronistic! Seriously, this improves my opinion of Rick Perry quite a bit.

I wasn't aware either of them had tolerance issues.  I've never heard either of them say anything disparaging about any race or religion.

That is what I meant actually... I was making a (obviously) poor joke....

The "knock" on Romney, at least according to those who hate the GOP, is that he actually is a tolerant person.  In Mass. as Gov he was pro abortion, pro gay marriage, and passed a health care bill that has some structural similarities with Obama care.

Oh got you.

Even though I am Christian I was a little bit worried about Perry after his prayer event.  The fact that he is willing to sit down and have a dialog with Muslims actually makes me feel a lot better about him.
