Why are Jews in Canada so conservative?

They were very supportive of the Liberal Party before 2006-2008.
Mainly, Conservative Party is very pro-Israel (more than the current US government), while Liberal is more moderated and have a wing which is not supportive of Israel (well, they are centrists, so they are always in the middle of the road).

The Liberals used to stand for left-wing bleeding heartism and pro-quebecism under Trudeau.

That is the falsest thing I ever heard.

Jew voting in strange.

In 2008, in Outremont, Jews voted liberal, except Orthodox Jews which voted for the NDP.

Of course the Jewish parts of Toronto and (I think to a lesser extent, but certainly Mount Royal fits) Montreal are amongst the most affluent - and in a comfortable suburban sense - parts of the city in question. So what if one or two of their grandparents voted Communist?

Which would explain why Orthodox Jews voted for NDP. Well, that's supposing than the person who said that was right, but I have no reason to doubt an NDP organizer about that.

That would make sense because they aren't rich, many are even quite poor.
