There are a few voters you missed according to a list of voters kept by my campaign:

Joe Republic (I-OH)
Elcorazon (D-IL)
Beet (U-MD)

When did those people register? It has to be 10 days before the election. I'm pretty sure Joe Republic registered on the 13th, which makes him ineglibale.

Holy crap! You kidding me?

But wait, the election goes on for three days, and by the time the polls close I will be eligible, so surely it counts?

I'm not sure how that is interpreted. If it can be leniant your way, I'd support that.

Beet registered on the 10th, he can vote. Elcorazon on the 11th, which makes it exactly ten days.

Interesting that you include inactives whose votes Peter Bell says he will refuse to campaign for...

As far as I can tell, KucinichForPrez is the only one out of those three who hasn't posted yet in the new year, although we might want to remove that one for the reason you said above.

Unless the Mideast Region has some sort of law against that, the ten-day rule only applies to federal elections.

I found this in the Forum Consititution thread.  The original constitution stated that it had to be 10 days, but this amendment made it 7.  So I will be eligible to vote by this weekend's election.

That only relates to candidates.

Blerpiez may be correct to assert that Regions need not follow Federal rules in its elections since Article IV gives great latitude in this regard: "Members from within their regions shall have total control of how Gubernatorial elections shall be administered within their own regions". Whether this overrides the voter registration limit is unclear and unruled upon; I don't know whether the Mideast has a rule to the contrary, but I don't think so.

We don't have rules, we have common sense. By common sense, Joe should be allowed to vote.

Why thank you, that's very kind.

Looks like Peter's one vote closer to victory.  Or one vote over the margin of landslide, whatever.

Since the Mid-East is essentially a dictatorship, it's the Governor's call.

There is no regional law whatsoever, thus no election law, and thus none of you have the right to vote anyways. Wink
Let'em vote would be my advise, and then pass a constitution with minimum formality and minimum fuss.
