Good for New York state.

If there was a referendum to overturn this, would it succeed?

It takes A LOT to get a question on a New York Ballot.

Doubt it, the last couple polls put support for same-sex marriage at just under 60% with opposition in the mid to upper 30's.

If you are all so glad for gays being allowed marriage
Then loosen the draconian gun laws.

Uh, how the hell are those two things even remotely related?
This demonstrates the utter hypocrisy of the left on civil liberties.
They are ok with rights for destructive lifestyles but deny self defense rights via firearms.

How much would it get in Williamsburg and the East Village?

It's safe. New York will have no Prop. 8.
California will probably repeal Prop. 8 next year.

Well done New York, well done.

But why are you all arguing with a kid who clearly doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, and who doesn't even appear to know how to make quotations. Seems rather pointless. "Marriage has always been between one man and one woman since the creation of man", how come then Jacob married two sisters in the Bible?

Your tears sustain me. Smiley

Also, I don't really wanna reply to you, but... guns kinda kill. Which is pretty destructive. Sad

New York will have it own prop 8 and Cali's will stand. When its voted on by the people directly, gay marriage loses. So no it's far from safe.

Note how I said self defense rights. In states with libertarian gun laws crime is a lot lower. When law abiding citizens are denied gun rights crime goes nuts. Look at the Swiss.

He also doesn't know the process of getting a referendum on the ballot in New York. Smiley Thus, ignore.

Excellent news! I guess this means Cuomo will get all that sweet, sweet gay lobby money when he runs for president now.
