Hi, I'm Chris Matthews, and welcome to MSNBC's coverage of Election Night 2012.

7:00PM:

We can project that President Barack Obama will carry the states of Vermont, Virginia and Georgia. South Carolina, Indiana and Kentucky are too close to call.



7:18PM:

And we can now project that President Barack Obama will carry Indiana.



7:30PM:

We are projecting that President Obama will carry Ohio. West Virginia is too close to call.

I'm not crazy. Indiana is Tea Party Country. With Cain you'd be able to pull some blacks to the republican ticket. Bachamann would do well with the socons and some libertarians (recent PATRIOT ACT vote notwithstanding). She'd aid efforts in statehouse races to seal getting a marriage amendment on the ballot in 2014 which will pass by overwhelming numbers.

Hopefully either Obama/Biden or Bloomberg/Chafee. I'm actually leaning towards Bloomberg/Chafee, as both of them support same-sex marriage, one of my core issues.

However, this certainly looks like it's going Obama's way.

I would think that Bloomberg would split the left. Turns out the former Republican is having the opposite affect.
