Mitt Romney manages to defeat McCain for the nomination and selects former rival Mike Huckabee as his running mate; much to everyone's surprise. Barack Obama still wins the nomination and chooses Joe Biden. The same events play out, only Romney is able to focus his strengths on fixing the economy. In a close election Romney manages to defeat Obama.
