Well, instead of heading north to Antietam today, Sarah decided to visit the National Archives and then head south to Mount Vernon. Probably wanted to shake off the mainstream media that was trying to bother her family on their vacation!

Palin has joined Pawlenty in opposing ethanol subsidies, but goes a step further and opposes all energy subsidies:

I wonder if that means she also opposes the reverse-subsidies/'tax credits' that the big oil companies receive?

That would make a very good Obama ad if she is the Republican nominee.

Sarah on Paul Revere!

"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms uh by ringing those bells and making sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free and we were going to be armed."

I don't know how.  I don't know where.  But Palin is going to embarrass herself on this tour somehow.  We all feel it.  The establishment GOP isn't powerless to strip her of legitimacy.  Their heckling + Palin's own missteps post-Tucson is what sunk her in polls in 2011.  She's climbed back up in the wake of Huckabee's pass but they won't miss the opportunity to pounce again and history suggests she'll give it to them.

I'd brag about calling this but that'd kind of be like bragging I predicted an Indian kid would win the spelling bee.

Palin was so successful in confusing the press on this tour that Fox News can no longer distinguish her from Tina Fey:

God... this woman is Jesse Ventura, except way less cool and lacking about 30 or so IQ points.

But she has the ingredients...

She's the maverick outsider that hates the "lamestream" media... she makes an ass out of herself constantly... she's dabbled in a whole range of things from modeling to outdoors to politics... a certain part of the population just love her to death.  About the only difference is that she isn't balding and she won't win the election!

Jeez, they already have Conservapedia to alter facts to align with whatever nonsense Palin comes out with.  Leave Wikipedia alone.

Edit: And sure enough:

While she definitely engaged in hyperbole in her Paul Revere statement, she wasn't really wrong.  Paul and the Minutemen (BTW, that would make a good name for a band) were serving notice that they weren't going to let the British take way the arms the Massachusetts militia had stockpiled at Concord.

Revisionist liberal history books simply forgot this important term that supposedly didn't exist until a few days ago.
