definitely. I like her, but I think every politician in that list is better. Solana, Gonzalez, Suarez, Sotelo, Rubalcaba, Carrillo and Peces-Barba deserve to be in the top 7. she should have finished 10th or 11th, IMHO.

Good riddance to Senor GAL.

Carme Chacon

so, you don't like Felipe!! you should visit spain. And ask people what they think about him. Everybody will recognize he brought spain to the "1st. world". Sarkozy, a conservative PM, anted him for the Presidency of EUrope (Van Rompuy took the job), and he discovered Javier Solana Wink

It's unfair to call him Señor GAL. That accusations are completly false, IMHO. He's a honest person, we all know it here in Spain. Only the far right continues claiming he's Mister X in GAL.

eliminate Adolfo Suárez!! I respect him, and he was not a bad president. However, he had been a franquist in the past and is, for the moment, the only president of Spain who has resigned. Then, he created the CDS, a failure (34.101 votes in 2004 and 0.13% of the vote, and 1.327 votes, for 0.01% of the vote).

Rubalcaba

Also, Gonzalez' devolution policy was pretty awful and his government's Basque policy is only made less awful by the fact that Aznar was a racist bigot against Basques.

Rubalcaba

You think Euskadi should be a country, don't you?? Zapatero learnt the lesson, and I can say his policies against ETA and FOR the Basque Country are the best for Spain and Euskadi. That's why Patxi Lopez was elected in 2009 and Zapatero beat PNV there in the 2008 GE.
Rubalcaba is the Minister who's destroyed ETA (He was also a Minister with Gonzalez).
Gonzalez should be remembered as the man who built the New Spain, not as Señor GAL. That's unfair.
