Teddy has finally accumulated the magic set that gives him 100 battalions.

I was under the vague impression that BK could only trade in one set per round, so more rules confusion. Not that I particularly mind, btw, cause that would have meant he would have been certain to trade a set this turn and another next turn (he'd have ended this turn on five cards).

Sorry for the delay everyone. I've been sailing and then in Berlin with internet access only during brief periods.

So...put 2 in West Virginia and the rest in Oklahoma. Attack Oklahoma->Arkansas as long as I have more than 3 attacking. If successful, put everything in Arkansas and attack Arkansas->Mississippi do or die. Then end turn.

If OK->AR drops to only 4 attacking, stop and await further orders.

Put all reinforcements into Ohio.
The MO garrison is ordered to commiserate the Oklahomans' fate.
Attack OH-KY do or die. Distribute survivors evenly, putting the extra (if any) in Kentucky. Tactically move two from WI to IL.

Um, by "commiserate", did you mean "invade"?  And by "fate", did you mean "trailer parks"?

Trade these cards for 10 extra troops.

Place 1 troop on Cali
Place 4 troops on Nevada
Place 8 troops on Oregon

NV to Utah, leave a grand total of 2 troops behind, do or die
Utah to Colorado, leave a grand total of 2 troops behind, do or die
Oregon to Washington, leave a grand total of 2 troops behind, do or die
Washington to Idaho, leave a grand total of 2 troops behind, do or die

IF there are now currently 9 or fewer troops in Idaho, follow path A
IF there are now currently 10 or more troops in Idaho, follow path B

Path A:
From Idaho, attack Wyoming, all in do or die, split troops evenly between Idaho and Wyoming, with any extras in Idaho

Path B:
Idaho to Montana, leave a grand total of 2 troops behind, do or die
Montana to Wyomong, all in do or die, split remainder evenly; if there is an odd number, retreat that single troop to Idaho.

End turn, take card.

A great portion of why you're still here, honestly, is just luck. You were never considered enough of a thread for people to dedicate resources to destroying, so you just lucked out while hell happened around you. Tongue

Exactly.

That's how I win risk games Tongue I tend to win my first few against a new group until they figure out I'm good at the game

Since I have missed signing up for the last two Risk games (and, to learn gameplay, spent a considerable amount of time reading all games Joe has hosted), would it be possible for me to reserve a spot in the next game?

Also, I tallied up the number of armies everyone has:

Gustaf: 41
Lewis T.: 35
Bacon King: 32
Teddy: 32

Quite a unique situation; we seem to have four players all of whom are in approximately equal conditions, all of whom seem competent. This game could stretch on for some time.

Even though people are aware that I am trying to not be a threat, it does not change the fact that I am, actually, at this time, not a threat, to anybody! This is how I manage to survive.

about 35% of the time I play risk, I am the first player to be defeated.
30% of the time I win
30% of the time I am the LAST player to be defeated
Only 5% of the time do I end up with some other outcome (IE being defeated somewhere between 2nd and 4th)
