Having been on this forum for a certain length of time (I believe almost a year or so) surely you good sir would know that I do not refrain at all from using politically incorrect terms and that I use jokingly overblown exaggerations of opponents to occasionally poke fun not only at them, but at myself as well.
That isn't to say I don't stand by my initial vote for JCL.  In my mind, though I don't agree with JCL on everything his policies would be preferable to George Bush.  I don't think the Patriot Act was a grand idea, and I don't think an interventionist foreign policy is the greatest idea in the world.  I do advocate military force.....IN SELF DEFENSE.  Therefore, JCL, though I have misgivings about his personal outlook on life, has more preferable stances regarding civil liberties and foreign policy.  And it isn't like Bush would've been any more socially permissive than JCL.
Secondly, my comment to Kal about the differences between a neocon "bombing browns" and "anti-immigrant reactionaries" was meant to be satirical in nature.  Kal made (in my mind a joke comment) and so I countered with my own joke comment.  Of course Neocons don't bomb browns, they just have a misguided foreign policy just like supporters of immigration limitations don't really (well at least most of them) don't care if the immigrants are brown, they just want to limit the amount of people coming to the US.  Again, my comment there was meant to be an exaggeration to poke fun mostly at myself (ie taking some of my beliefs to an extreme and making a fake strawman of the opponent).  A lot of the convos between myself and Kal, for good reason, shouldn't be taken so seriously.
The last thing I would accuse neocons or George W. Bush of being would be that they are against illegal immigration.  If anything Bush is more pro-illegal immigration than me, so the idea that I'm linking the two groups, neocons and anti-illegal immigration advocates is missing the mark.
To me killing is killing, killing a black man doesn't make anyone more racist than killing a white man.  Killing an Iraqi is no more racist than me killing a white Texan.  Killing is killing and I bet you will find a post of mine where I disagree with "hate crime" legislation because I believe "hate crime" legislation is misguided.  If the US were involved in a meaningless war in Africa I would say they were "bombing blacks", I would refer to the NATO bombing in Kosovo or wherever as "bombing Slavs" and I would refer to PIRA bombings on innocent Irish Protestants as "bombing alcoholics".  Chances are if you find a Mechapost that seems to take things to a ridiculous extreme it's probably not meant to be 100% serious.  You can't deal with the fact that I'm not about serious business on the internets kindly GTFO.

I have no desire to bomb more browns. I have friends who happen to be browns. As for civil liberties, I'm far more open to the idea of the decriminalization of weed than Bush would ever be. I want to go back to pre 9-11 standards of airport security, I'd fight to deny the federal government the ability to have say regarding marriage.
