The call for demonstrating in Syria is for tomorrow and Saturday, it has the same name as in Egypt, Lebanon, and Yemen 'Day of Anger' (or seems the translation given in Englsih speaking media is 'Day of Rage'). It's against 'monocracy, corruption, and tyranny'. Facebook being censored in Syria you can't know what it will give, but that might be the beginning of something.

There will be at least one successful copycat of Tiananmen Square in one of those Arab revolts.

You heard it here first.

The call on facebook in Syria didn't work at all according to journalists present there.

There would be a day of protest planned on the 17th of February, anniversary of a preceding intifada, in Lybia, but indeed Gaddafi is trying to shut communications about it on Internet.

A day of protest is also planned on the 14th of February in Bahrain, which would be the 9th anniversary of the ruler’s proclamation of the island as a constitutional monarchy.

According to a Syrian organization from Dubai, yesterday about 1 hundred people have demonstrated against the brutality of some policemen against someone, and then it turned against corruption of police during 3 hours during which they tried to block some streets. Syria would be one in which it would be tough to go and according to some observers the Assad could have a relative support there.

In Mascate, Oman, there has been the 2nd demonstrations in one month, 300 hundred people, only social claims so far.

France24 also just reports some clashes between some protesters and police forces in Djibouti.

Teh Wikipedia says only Qatar, UAE and Kuwait are the only Arab states to have no protests. Saudi Arabia had one immolation and some protests related to flooding, but there were no democratic protests there either.

Unfortunately I was correct.

Had no idea it would happen in Bahrain, though.

Well, it wasn't exactly a blood bath, and not something that would turn the movement down, but that's apparently there that army opened fire for the 1st time in an Arab country, yeah.

Beside Gaddafi eventually (it would take the army to be very abiding of him) it would seem it could be in the Gulf that this has the most chance to happen. Or in Algeria if the guys there dare repeat what they did in 1988. But, for Bahrain, I don't know, but the army might be composed of Sunnis, which could make the guys more easily inclined to obey to such thing.
