If only a republican had a chance in 2012, I'd support Mr. Graham. It's very easy to become a strong conservative like mccain, so you don't have to fight against teabaggers. but graham at least has some principles...

Conservatives can't stand him, he'd never get through the primary. He's lucky his seat wasn't up in 2010, he would have been primaried out for a Tea Party candidate.

Not a chance. It doesn't help that when you type his name in the google search bar, "lindsey graham gay" is the first suggestion, and "lindsey graham outed" is the second.

Lindsey problem is simple: he's much more likely to lost his next primary than being even slightly viable candidate for presidential nomination.

He'd be just as "serious" candidate as Buddy Roemer, Herman Cain or Gary Johnson: with a irrevelant at the end difference he is a sitting U.S. Senator.

Strangely enough I think a Lindsay Graham/Charlie Crist ticket could win the white house.  I say they launch a 3rd party for independent fiscally conservative/socially liberal voters and they will get a lot of votes from log cabin republicans.
