Bush said he would have endorsed Obama if they asked him too. How would the election be different if he did?

Which Bush? Dubya? If it was Dubya, then he might have been sarcastic, as in 'they'll never ask for an endorsement from me'.

It was GWB but there was never any proof that he said that and his people denied it to the media when questioned. Obama ran an entire campaign for two years hammering Bush. I doubt Bush would endorse Obama and Obama definitely wouldn't have wanted it.

I wonder who Arnold Schwarzenegger voted for between Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman.

Most people would probably just say: WTF??

Maybe Obama gets hurt by it a bit. In any case, he's probably gonna turn down the endorsement publicly and then goes on to attack the Bush administration even harder.

Now the McCain campaign's reaction... that would be interesting.

Mainly, it would free up McCain to attack Bush.

Whitman, obviously. Whitman borrowed a lot of the people on her campaign from Arnold (including speechwriters, hilariously enough Roll Eyes), and the two were relatively similar in ideology.

He did throw a dig at her recently, but I can't see how he could've possibly voted for Moonbeam.

I do not think that Obama would have wanted that; even if he had accepted the endorsement, the endorsement would have backfired.
