1960:

Goldwater (R), vs. Wallace (D), vs. Kennedy (I)

Wallace actually wins the popular vote, 43-42-14, but Goldwater easily wins the electoral vote, 363-174.  Goldwater's best state is Arizona (duh), where he receives 56%.  His worst state Alabama, where he gets 16%.  Wallace's best state is Alabama (duh), where he receives 77%.  His worst state is Massachusetts, where receives 33%.  Kennedy's best state is Massachusetts (duh), where he gets 26%.  He does not get second place in any state.  His worst states are Mississippi and Alabama, where he receives 7%.

The scenario is unlikely for 1960 with Wallace not having served as Governor yet. Does the very dark red indicate a Wallace victory while the light red indicates a Kennedy victory, or is it all Wallace?

Merely a silly computer game.  Kennedy didn't win anything.  Didn't know that Wallace wasn't governor yet in 1960, Tongue

He was first elected Governor in 1962, having been defeated in the 1958 Democratic Primary because of his pro-Civil Rights stances.

Goldwater's best state is Arizona (duh)

Funny, in 1964 (RL o/c) Arizona was his weakest state and most narrow nationally.

I believe that Goldwater's weakest state was Rhode Island. Wink

Richard Nixon vs. Shirley Chisholm (GA running mate)

73-26.  She only carries DC by 5 points.

Bad wording, I meant weakest state he carried and AZ was closest state nationally. Thanks for correcting.
