Red = stayed overnight
Blue = been through and stopped in
Green = Resident states

Fun fact: With the exception of New Orleans, all of my travel has been for, or affiliated with, academic purposes only.

If we're doing just counties, then

DC
OH: Franklin
MI: Kalamazoo
TX: Travis, Harris, El Paso, Galveston, Denton

MD: Montgomery
MI: Washtenaw, Oakland, Wayne
IL: Cook, DuPage
LA: West Feliciana, Jefferson, Orleans

LA: East Baton Rouge
TX: Brazos

I've seen more of Michigan and Texas than my own home state.

Green:  States I visited before I was old enough to drive.

Red:  States I've visited since I was old enough to drive.*

*  I did not drive in NY or CA, though I rode in a car.  NY should be red.

Green: Lived
Dark Red: have spent the night
Red: Have visited

Didn't want to bother looking up highway paths and such to find out what counties exactly I've traveled through. Basically, everything except the Boston area has been driven to at least once so just imagine I've colored in counties in a link to everything.

Edit: and also, I've had layovers at the DC airport (somewhere in NoVa, right?), the Miami airport, and the Philly airport, so those counties would be "have travelled through" color as well.

Did it take a lot of skill/effort to get laid in Montgomery County, Georgia?

I seem to be one of the better-traveled posters.

Using the Xahar code, with the expansion of ">30% if I went just to say I did":

I was too young to remember Kentucky, though.

30% - rode through
60% - did something meaningful
90% - slept in

County-wise, it gives this:

and in Canada, by Ontario counties/Quebec MRCs, it gives that:

light is drove through, red is did something meaningful and dark weird red is slept in.

Furthest north in the US I've done something meaningful in is Cambridge, Vermont; furthest south is Mount Vernon, Virginia. Furthest north (I think) in Canada is Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec and furthest south is Fort Erie, Ontario.

Almost the same states as me, though I've never been to NJ, DC or DE and I passed through WV .

As for Canada, I've never been to the Territories, Saskatchewan or Newfoundland.

Red: Visited
Blue: Visited, but not since adulthood
Green: Visited but for less than a day.

While I actually went to malls and saw stuff in Virginia and Maryland, Missouri barely counts, my parents just crossed the state line to basically say we were there and then went back. They basically did the same thing with Indiana back when I went there (to Gary and back), but of course Dude Fest has made it so I've actually stayed there.

Counties:

Well, that certainly explains a lot about your vastly underdeveloped point of view...

I find it interesting that even though I've lived in Colorado since I was almost 4, I've traveled way more in New England and the east coast throughout my whole life

Darkest green -- state I want to live in.
Next-darkest green -- state I live in.
Next-darkest green -- states I want to spend more than a day in.
Lightest green -- states I clearly remember spending more than a day in as a stupid young child.

Purple: Lived in
Dark Green: Spent at least 24 hours in
Light Green: Did something more than travelling
Blue: Travelled through
Red: Haven't been

Also Montevideo is meant to be Dark Green, and I only just scraped into Region IV of Chile and Chaco, Argentina.

Oh, and Rio Negro should be dark green too.

well I don't know how to make a map so

Michigan (where I live and always have)

States where I visited and actually did something not just drive through.
Ohio
Illinois
Wisconsin
Missouri
Pennsylvania
New York
Maryland
Virginia
North Carolina
Florida
Washington D.C.

States I've driven through maybe even spent the night but it was on the way to another place.

Indiana ( drove through on the way to Illinois and to Missouri)
Kentucky (on the way to Florida)
Tennessee (on the way to Florida)
Georgia   (on the way to Florida)
West Virginia (on the way to North Carolina and Virginia)
Delaware (on the way from Philadelphia to Washington D.C.)
New Jersey (stayed in New Jersey while visiting Philadelphia)

States I might see next year

California
Texas
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Georgia (might move from drove through to visited)
