[quote]North East Drugs Act
1. Drugs shall be classified in to three categories.
a. Class A which shall include Cocaine, Crack, DMT, Heroin, LSD, MDMA (Ecstasy), Methamphetamine and Psilocybin Mushrooms
b. Class B which shall include Amphetamine, Codeine, Ketamine, Methoxetamine, Methylphenidate
c. Class C which shall include GHB, Diazepam, Flunitrazepam and most other tranquillisers

2. Cannabis shall be classified as a legal recreational drug and can be sold in pharmacies.
a. Cannabis sales shall be taxed at 2%.

3. No person may be given a prison sentence for carrying a personal amounts of any drug.

4. Any person with a personal amount of drugs may be subject to fines:
a. $250 for a first offence.
b. $500 for a second offence.
c. $1,000 for a third offence.
d. Up to $5,000 for any further offences.
e. Fines are increased by 150% for carrying Class B drugs.
f. Fines are increased by 200% for carrying Class A drugs.

5. Any person found supplying an illegal drug shall be subject to:
a. A $2,500 fine for a first offence.
b. A $5,000 fine for a second offence.
c. A $10,000 fine for a third offence.
d. A prison sentence of up to 5 years for any further offences.
e. Fines are increased by 150% for supplying Class B drugs.
f. Fines are increased by 200% for supplying Class A drugs.

As I can see, there is no pending legislation for the 3rd Legislative slot.

I would prefer if we spent longer than usual discussing this bill, if possible, due to the contents of it. Also, I'll probably make changes to the bill based on public opinion, in the survey that I'm conducting.

This will ensure that we have a law on the subject, should it be repealed Federaly.

1. If an elected Northeast Assembly member resigns from their position, a by-election must be held to replace the member who has resigned.
  a. The by-election should take place within two weeks of the resignation.
  b. Standard Northeast election rules apply for the allocation of the seat in the election.
2. In the event that a candidate runs for the assembly seat unopposed, then the person running should be appointed by the Governor without holding a by-election.
3. A by-election shouldn't take place two, or less, weeks before the next general election.
  a. The assembly seat shall be vacated until the general election or,
  b. The governor appoints someone to fill this position.
