I really hope this one is called soon after the polls close. That will influence votes out west.
No, it won't. Why would it? lol.
Enthusiasm for one. Looking at races like WV, PA, CT, and some House races too in places like Indiana. Depending on the margin and if Dems can or cannot hang onto a few of those house seats, you may see more of a gap in turnout in the west. just a theory 
California has lots of early voters (42% according to PPP), Oregon and Washington have voting by mail so it wouldn't affect anything.
