Not surprising. All three incumbents elected in 2007 will win in 2011, barring any miracles for the other party.

Highly unlikely since Haley Barbour is term-limited.

I can't believe Richie Farmer agreed to just be the running mate. The Republicans are throwing away a competitive race by not running him at the top of the ticket.

Beshear, of all people, actually has positive approvals? There's my surprise for the day...

It's funny that the most popular Dem governors seem to be in the states that hate Obama the most (Arkansas, Kentucky, West Virginia).

Seems that governing like a Conservative Democrats is a popular thing to be doing right now.  I wonder if Obama will take this hint?

Republicans will retain the seat, anyway.

Interesting. Do any blue state Democratic governors have a positive approval rating?

New Hampshire isn't a Blue State.  Also, Lynch has more in common with Bebee than he does with the more Liberal Democrats.

But yeah--one of the biggest problems the Democrats have in their governor's races is that most of their popular incumbents are retiring.

Yep. States like KY, WV, and AR will elect popular Democratic governors on the state level, but those states are still trending Republican on the federal level.
In these states, there's a big difference between having a Democratic governor and sending a Democrat to Congress. Thats why Beebe is cruising and Lincoln is losing in a landslide.

Um... what "popular Democrat governors" are retiring?  Jim Doyle?  Jennifer Granholm?  Bill Richardson?  John Ritter?  David Patterson?  John Baldacci?

Dave Freudenthal and Brad Henry yeah, but they look as much like Democrats as Michael Jackson looked black
