Just realized, we no longer need to confirm a new Sec Def.  By law, the Secretary of State or Defense takes over at State/Defense, and the President chooses who it will be.  But we only have a SecState, so by statutse, Gusatf is now the Secreatry of State and Defense.

Wait, never mind, I just read the stuff above that and quickly remembered that abstentions are (stupidly) equivalent to "nay" votes in veto overrides.

Well, time to go fishing for StatesRights' vote...
