Awesome list, but what puts MLK on the same ticket as Reagan, and what makes Islam and Europe combine forces? Parts of it seem...preposterous, sadly.

I have already? If so, I do apologise. Just another 'Conorism'; or more rather a 'Gableism' I've adopted - and ultimately it has become part of my forum speak.

King in this timeline is representative of the Social Conservative/Doveish plank in the American Conservative Party. Reagan brings the economic conservatives and civil libertarians to the dance though he is also a so-con. The Neocons stay with the Democrats.

Europe (minus Avalon Aka Britan, Ireland, Iceland) stage the incident that started the Brandenburg War. When the American/Avalonian people find out things get dicey.

Look at Europe right now. Muslims reproduce at rates far superior to either secularists or Christians. Just wait 20-30 years or so. So an Islamic/European alliance is in no way preposterous.

Nice explantion. However, an Islamic/European Alliance is still preposterous if you don't give a detailed explanation within your timeline/list of alternate presidents. I think a drawn out version of that would be interesting, but I don't know. It might end up like a Gporter (do you know who that is?) Timeline (though he has somewhat improved).

I don't know who that is. I've been trying to flesh the timeline out for awhile.

*spoiler alert for such a time line JFK, and RFK are part of the third Party that is born in 1963-4*

It's a bit of America reaping the consequences of backstabbing former ally Iran and various interventionist shenanigans in the Middle East.

Interesting that you have President Eisenhower being assassinated in 1963. Oswald had mentioned to a fellow marine in the mid-50's that he would like to kill Eisenhower, who was president at the time. Oswald was a marxist and hated the United States' form of Government. In this timeline, it is very possible that an assassination could occur again, as in real time.    ...Thank you.
