Over the past few weeks I have notice how I really don't fit in with the Republican Party anymore. My views started to change from their views. After reading the Union Party Platform, even thought I disagreed on a few small details, I agreed with most of it.  These are the topic I agree with :

Winning the War for Democracy
Sanctions and Trade
Terrorism
National Defense
Taxes, Spending, and a Balanced Budget
Welfare and Job Training
Education
Affirmative Action
Health Care
*Regions and the Federal Government*
Environment
Capital Punishment
Judicial Reform

The one with the * around it, was the one that sway me to join the Union Party.

Take the time and read the Platform on this webstie http://union.idpt.com/

Interesting party. I won't join, because I think that if you want to change a party, you work within it to change it, you don't leave it.

You are buying Don's propaganda.  The UAC has actually moved right since it's inception.

This is a snapshot of the main UAC members a few months ago.  Of these, Ilikeverin, Beet, and Bullmoose have left, and you could probably argue that Gustaf has left too because he's been pretty inactive lately.  This moves the party slightly to the right and slightly further authoritarian.

Hence, we have most certainly NOT moved right.

Isn't that more to do with the fact that the UAC started off reasonably left of centre anyway - then took a large lurch to the right with the introduction of the nomadic GOP support, which caused the centre leftists like myself and ILV to leave, putting it firmly in the right. With the revival of the GOP its no surprise that their nomadic supporters return from whence they came, moving the party back to the left. Just not quite to where they began.

Holy Crap. On economics you are more to the left than MAS while on the Libertarian scale you  are actually in the Slightly Authoritarian part of the board. You are no where near Don you actually have more in common with Akno and the Democrats than with either the UAC or the Union Party.

Than that makes you the total opposite of what Don's Union Party stands for. It stands for Moderate Libertarianism and Center-Right Economic Policies. Christian Democrat? Sounds more like a populist to me in that case you fit more with the UL.

NO.. I agree with over 3/4 of don's Platform. Just the same as the UAC 's and Republican's platform. UL is left on social views and left on ecomony... how do I fit into that?

I think Josh (Amos) just prefers the Union because it is run by a fellow Southerner.

My views are VERY weird... I have lost of right economy view but more left economy views. I would be a Theodore Roosevelt if I lived back then.

Not really... I was going to join the UAC before I read Don's Platform.

Off the top of my head I can't remeber...  But if you would kindly give me a link to the UAC then I would tell you which ones.
