In the spirit of the "County Predictions" thread.... what would your state look like if a mock Presidential election was on the ballot this year, with the likely GOP-friendly electorate.  Insert Generic Republican in place of an actual candidate.

I don't know about counties, but if there was a 2008 re-run or a generic GOP vs. Obama on the ballot, here's how the map would be I think:

MI, WI, NJ, PA, OH, IA, NH, NV, NM, CO are relatively close.

and in 2009:

NV, CO, NM, VA, OH, PA are relatively close.

Obama would lose both in my home state and nationally.

Generic Republican would win fairly easily. Palin would win but it would be closer.

There's no such thing as a generic Republican.

Thanks!  It's too bad that so few participated in that thread:

That electorate would not exist if ...

Oh heh. Just noticed the word "mock" in there. Well Obama is still leading either all or almost all the GOP hopefuls in all the polls on the question, though I suppose those aren't polls of likely midterm voters. Still, can't help but assume he'd do better than most on here allow.
(And you can't insert "Generic Republican". That's not a "mock election". That's an "election parody".)

Generic Republican with 2012 electorate (pessimistic model):

Generic Republican is a very popular guy. I could do percentages or maps with actual candidates.

edit: are you not allowed to post two maps in one post?

You are allowed to post 27 maps in one post if you want. There is no limint except the number of characters (10,000 i think).
