Theodore Roosevelt, he was okay.  On my scale I would give him a C+.

>P I'd give him an A.  Lincoln gets another A, while FDR gets an A+ Smiley

Which candidate did your state give the highest % of the vote?

FDR :
1932 - 74.7%
1936 - 76.1%
1940 - 74.0%
1944 - 70.3%

Obviously when people realized how terrible his policies were his % started to drop but it was still very high because Florida was part of the solid south at the time.

LBJ :
1964 - 51.1%

Reagan :
1980 - 55.5%
1984 - 65.3%

Oklahoma gave 77% to Nixon in 1972,
73% to FDR in 1932,
68% to Reagan in 1984,
66% to FDR in 1936.
GW Bush in 2004 was the 5th highest Okla percentage with 65%.
The highest for a loser was 1960 Nixon 59%, the only time Okla gave over 50% to a loser.  The other 5 times OklaEV went to losers the vote was less than 50% because of 3rd party candidates.

Though it will annoy Senator StatesRights, I will go with Lincoln.  He had the hardest job of any President, and he pulled it off.

I suppose it's some sort of dubious honor for Kerry that he got the highest percentage in DC in history.
