For both parties, who in 2008 will run who is not or once was a Governor or Senator, aside from Rudy Guliani.

The only candidates whose names have been floated around who aren't or haven't been Governor / Senator are mainly Republicans associated with the the Bush Administration:

Namely, Powell (who won't run) and Rice (who won't win).

Or Wesley Clark.  Who may run.  But his campaign won't reach the strength of Bob Graham's indomitable '04 (or should I say '03) run.

Jon Stewart? Tom Brokaw?

I would have to believe that Tom Brokaw would win overwhelmingly.

Who would his running mate be? Colbert, Cordry, Helms, Bee, Wolftong, Black?

At least he'd be a Democrat.

Are all of the Daily Show people Dems?  Stewart and Colbert are the only ones I know for sure, but does anyone know about the others?

Actually, there has been a trend of TV pesonalities entering the political sphere.  Ron Klink and Marjorie Margolis-Mesvinski, to PA Representatives in the 1990s were both from local television.

All that said, it is still very unlikely to go from no office to the presidency.  I could see Brokaw going into a governorship or the Senate.

I believe Cordry is Jewish, which would likely mean he is a Democrat. I like to think they are all Democrat Smiley
Lewis Black (not a correspondent, he's in studio sometimes) may be Democrat, he had some pretty sharp anti-NASCAR/Republican stuff, but anyone of any political persuasion will trash their own side for good money.
