Obama is still at 63% approval.  That probably explains this poll.  Vermont is just very, very liberal and shows no sign of changing anytime soon.

Yeah. Dubie was owning in the sign-war where I was two weeks ago, though admittedly a lot of that anecdotal evidence comes from suburban Burlington (which is quite dreadful, in stark contrast to the wonderful city) which isn't one of the Democrats' best area in the state.

It's probably the worst, besides middle-of-nowhere Essex County. I'm sure if you had driven through Brattleboro/Dummerston/Marlboro, the situation would be very different.

By the way, here's a map I did a while ago. This is Shumlin's strength from the primary.

I'm thinking it's a standard Rasmussen primary bounce here.

It also wasn't a "divisive" primary. It was remarkably civil. Shumlin and Racine even campaigned together during the recount.

I think by "divisive" he meant that the overall Democratic vote was so greatly fragmented.

Well, it's good to actually see a poll from here. I'll probably flip it on my map. It's still a tossup though.
