The music video to the Ariana Grande-Iggy Azalea song "Problem" reminds me of matrix eigenvalues.

Does that make me a total nerd, or what?

Specifically, the rotating spirals in the video remind me of the 2x2 matrix [0 1] [-1 0], which rotates a figure 90 degrees, and which has i and -i as its eigenvalues.

Anyone know how I can get a karaoke track for John Stewart's 1979 hit "Midnight Wind"?

I can't find the karaoke track online; I can't even find the song in jukeboxes.

Google MacArthur Park and you will get the unexpected result that it's a 1968 song written by Jimmy Webb and recorded by Richard Harris.

Of course, Donna Summer's version (the only one I know) stayed at #1 in the US for three weeks. THe song has the interesting, if dubious, distinction, of having been #1 around the time of the Jonestown massacre.
