Album with most tracks: Tokyo Anal Dynamite by The Gerogerigegege (75 tracks)

Classic album here, especially the Light My Fire cover. Cheesy

Based on last.fm, my most played track is Motörhead – Bomber at 160 plays. I'm guessing Edge of Sanity - Crimson is the longest at 40:00 on the dot, and Napalm Death - You Suffer is surely the shortest at 0:01. Album with most tracks is The Gerogerigegege - Yellow Trash Bazooka at 80.

I wouldn't say I like The Gerogerigegege's music so much as I find the concept and execution of the project intriguing, but I guess that's the point. Yellow Trash Bazooka is my favorite.

I'd also take the latter 90% of the time, but I do like me some haughty old rock. Actually, I just listened to ELP's Tarkus, which has to be one of the most masturbatory albums of all time. I don't mean instrumentally, either, just the entire concept of it. "This armadillo tank is a metaphor for war, suffering and control or somethin' like that. Shut up, have some keyboards a-bloopdeep a-doopdoop. This sure is progressive stuff, dude!!"

That sounds like an insult, but it really is endearing to hear just how proud they are to reside in progressive rock stereotype, and musically it's solid as any. Not one of my favorites or anything, but a good listen.

I'm thinking of buying the album "Close to the Edge" by YES. Any thoughts or opinions?

Do it, it's a great one. My second favorite Yes album behind.. well, The Yes Album.

I have serious problems with that kind of music. Why? Because it sounds pretty similar to

(scroll down a bit to see the first comment)

Here is a bit of background how the scene on the other side of the Oresund was organised at the time the Dominus song was recorded. [And, no, there is no indication that any Dominus or Volbeat member was ever an active part of the scene, but the musical relation is quite obvious]

Want an idea how it sounds in German? You will have to stand 1 minute of a german journalist talking, but after that you will get the idea pretty quickly:

More of that here (click on the clips in the lower right corner)

Finally, a Swedish and a German list of bands to treat with care.

Sadly I am all too aware of these bands, but Dominus was a bog standard death metal act in no way related to national socialist black metal. That is entirely separate movement within metal, much in the same way that RAC and other white power punk styles are unrelated to and scorned by the majority of punk/hardcore groups. In fact, most of the bands on that list are RAC groups that have nothing to do with metal.

I understand your concern, but rest assured this nationalist white power nonsense is rejected by a huge majority of metalheads.
