The instrumental version of these songs are so much more epic, I almost prefer them without the lyrics.

btw, I totally saw MSI last Saturday. They put on a great show, and I was able to go onstage and meet Steve.

Setlist:

Shut Me Up
Issues
1989
Clarissa
Masturbates
Prescription
Planet of The Apes
Cocaine and Toupees
Tornado
Never Wanted To Dance
Dicks Are For My Friends
Capital P
Tight
Golden I
Bitches
Bring The Pain
Mastermind

They also played a new song from the Tight re-issue and then a cover from The Left Rights.

I forgot Stupid MF, Lights Out, and Evening Wear too...but yeah I was surprised they played Tornado. He video taped it with a handheld camera while they were playing and uploaded it to youtube:

I was more excited they played Planet of The Apes, Capital P, and Bitches.

Fantastic band, Geddy Lee is one of the people that inspired me to start playing bass. I know a lot of people that are into Rush, including my World Cultures teacher, who is also British Tongue

Rest in Peace Jerry McCain (Gadsden AL 1930 - Gadsden AL 2012)

Rest in Peace Earl Scruggs (Cleveland County NC 1924 - Nashville TN 2012)

Yeah, umpteen threads on some sports announcer I never heard of inspired me to look over wikipedia's list of notable deaths to see if I could find any actually notable deaths that had escaped me. And sure enough... I didn't even know McCain had been still alive.

This is a bad called Cotton Mather. They are from Austin, and I am now kicking my self for never hearing of them until well after the fact.

That MCA news really blows. The dude was still pretty young. I remember I was supposed to see the Beasties at All Points West in '09 but their appearance had to be cancelled because he had been diagnosed. RIP.

That was the worst thing I've ever listened to. Seriously. If you wanna talk about sh*tting all over a good song, you wouldn't talk about that because that was more than sh*tting all over a good song...that was like sh*tting on it and then pissing on it and then setting it on fire and then beating it with a stick and then nominating it to be the Libertarian Party's presidential nominee.

I've been listening to In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel for the past few days. It's a pretty great album.

Eraserhead should be happy I just got a record from a band that formed before the 80s. Of course Mission of Burma were started in 1979 and the record is from 1981...
