Does anyone have a link to a live version of "Waiting for the Sun" by the Doors, performed by the original group? All I can find are covers and versions by the new incernation of the Doors (the Riders on the Storm).

It would have been nice if they played a little longer too... their set was only about 70 minutes (not much longer than the gap between them and the second opener). Overall, still a good show.

Whoa whoa, what? 70 minutes? That's way longer than most sets I've ever seen. I think the longest I've ever seen was this post-rock band that might've approached 90 minutes. I remember reading about this hardcore band that played for three hours at their last show and apparently set up some sort of record.

Paul McCartney plays shows that are nearly 3 hours long all the time and he's 68 years old. Bruce Springsteen does 3 hours in his sleep. Hell, my own band has played a couple of shows that were that long. This isn't a big deal for bands that don't spend the entire set screaming their lungs out and trying to injure themselves.

The band in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRMYptP079E

I don't see how they are trying to injure themselves.

That seems pretty "meh" to me.

I wouldn't mind seeing a handful of artists there. Too bad it's across the pond.

Eh, looks alright, can't get too excited about all of them though. I'd see it for Muse.

This is FAR better than anything Justin Bieber or Slipknot have made (not that that's saying much): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kspPE9E1yGM

Anyone else like Cheap Girls? I saw them already, seeing them again the 6th, great style that too many bands aren't playing anymore (early 90s alternative like the Lemonheads, Buffalo Tom, later Husker Du, etc.)

You actually download their entire first album for free legally: http://quoteunquoterecords.com/qur018.htm

Is there any method putting recorded music (say an mp3 file) onto the internet? I'm looking for something that works like the forum gallery: You basically just put in the file from your computer and **kazam** you can listen to it online, and thus provide a link elsewhere.

King Crimson anyone? I'm starting to enjoy their type of...idk, dramatic progressive rock, as opposed to the bluesy Pink Floyd, haven't heard to much of their stuff, just In the Court of the Crimson King, and In the Wake of Poseidon.

Probably one of my favorite bands ever despite not being a huge fan of progressive rock in general. Red is great as was mentioned above but so are Lizard and especially Larks' Tongue in Aspic.

I was suspicious for it's lacking Greg Lake, but it actually was good! Fripp is just that awesome I guess
