I'm really liking the new Decemberists record.

I'm really liking the new Decemberists record.

I couldn't stand The Hazards of Love (Jethro Tull already did Thick as a Brick, and I didn't like it then either), so I'm glad that this one was less "clever". It's got some pretty good songs (Calamity Song, Rox in the Box, and Down by the Water are probably my favorites) but two of the songs are some of the worst things the Decemberists have done (Rise to Me and All Arise!). I'd probably give it about a 7/10.

Did anyone hear that three of the headliners for Lollapalooza leaked? Eminem, Muse and The Foo Fighters. Wow, that might be the worst group of headliners for a major festival ever.

Eminem? Meh... Lollapalooza hasn't really sounded appealing lately anyways.

I may head down to Bonnaroo if they can come up with a solid lineup. It was really bad last year though, so I'm not hopeful.

Coachella's lineup is decent this year but I already saw Arcade Fire pretty recently and they were the best part of it. Plus it sold out already.

Sasquatch! has a pretty cool lineup but I don't think I'm gonna be going all the way to Washington State.

I really wish All Points West was still around.

Yeah, they're headlining the second day. If you've never seen them live, I can assure you they're phenomenal.

I'd actually say that's a pretty solid lineup for alt-rock, barring Eminem.

I don't like either of those bands, personally.

I almost went to Good Vibrations, which is on tomorrow, but decided to save my money so as to be able to eat. There just wasn't enough depth to the lineup.

    * Faithless
    * Phoenix
    * Sasha
    * Nas & Damian Marley
    * Cee Lo Green
    * Kelis
    * Ludacris
    * Erykah Badu
    * Friendly Fires
    * Miike Snow
    * Fake Blood
    * Rusko
    * Sydney Samson
    * Janelle Monae
    * Mike Posner
    * Yolanda Be Cool
    * Bag Raiders
    * Koolism
    * Kill The Noise
    * Tim & Jean
    * Fenech-Soler

Although I think Cee Lo Green pulled out.

I'm not a huge fan of Eminen, but he's a pretty epic performer, at least from what I've seen him do on TV and what not.

He has done some epic lip synching on SNL.

I think it's safe to assume most people don't take the Grammy's seriously.

Probably, most of what matters has already been announced anyways.

LOL, apparently after their acceptance speech they went back to their instruments and played an impromptu encore.

I don't get how they won "album of year" and lost ''alternative album of the year" at the same time. Amusingly they lost that one to The Black Keys, who are basically a straight up blues-rock band.

The definition of "alternative" has been muddled to where it's near a pen smudge on a paper.  I.E. The White Stripes

Arcade Fire bitchslapping Eminem, Lady Antebellum, Gaga, and Katy Perry for Album of The Year, hands down best part of the entire show. Then playing Ready to Start afterwards was amazing.
