How would such a scenario play out? Unemployment has fallen to about 8%, Republicans have won back control of congress in 2010, The Federal Deficit is about 11 Trillion, and American combat troops have withdrawn completely from Afghanistan.

Blackburn is not enough to save Romney.

Any ticket with Blackburn on it achieves a 538 EV landslide.

I don't know who Blackburn is but I based my results off of how Romney would do against Obama today and flipped MN and IA in exchange for OR. I think most conservatives would have those 3 states going the opposite way of what I posted above.

Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee's 7th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.

Some would call her a rising Republican star.

302 - 236

Romney wins about 85% in UT, plus takes OR, WI, and IA in Florida 2000 margins. The South obviously goes to Romney because Blackburn is the Vice
