Ironic, I would think a Senator with his attitudes and persona would be popular this year. He's probably perceived as just another establishment Democrat, though, as he didn't do much to differentiate from them on major legislation (except on financial reform, which I don't think will help him even though his reasoning may resonate with some).

Feingold has always run in tough races.  Why should an anti-incumbent year be any different?  If anything, his reelection effort should be tougher.
