Ironic, I would think a Senator with his attitudes and persona would be popular this year. He's probably perceived as just another establishment Democrat, though, as he didn't do much to differentiate from them on major legislation (except on financial reform, which I don't think will help him even though his reasoning may resonate with some).

Russ Feingold voted against:

The 2008 TARP
Tim Geithner for Treasury
Bernanke for Fed Chair
Repeal of Glass Stegall
NAFTA (practically all free trade agreements actually)
2010 Financial Bill
Iraq
The Bush tax deferments
etc etc etc.

Not exactly a run of the mill Dem.

Feingold has always run in tough races.  Why should an anti-incumbent year be any different?  If anything, his reelection effort should be tougher.

Feingold is arguably the best Democrat in the entire Congress. Unfortunately, that's not saying much. I'd still support him over Ron Johnson though.

I will never forgive Obama if his useless Presidency brings down one of the few Senators worth a damn. Well, actually, I'll never forgive Obama for sucking, regardless.
