What's interesting is that we still haven't had a Silent Generation (1929-45) President (McCain would have been the first), and seeing as this group's youngest members are currently 65, we might never get one.

Carter (born October 1924) was a member of the Silent Generation.  The G.I./Greatest Generation ended December 7, 1923 (those born later than that were still children when Pearl Harbour happened).

Semantics--by my numbers the Silent Generation starter October 1929 with the great stock market collapse
