Because look at where he stands on the issues. He even said that we need to find a balance between socialism and capitalism. Socialism has no place in our country.

What's this?  A Democrat with an "A" rating from the NRA?

He sounds like someone I might support at the state level.  All the Constitution stuff aside, I'm sort of a moderate libertarian.  I'm not really very passionate about the wonders of privatizing everything.  I just have an archaic belief in weak, limited federal government.

Howard Dean is one of my favorite Amercian politicians. It's a pity he wasn't nominated in 2004.

Dean was excellent DNC chairman and played a key role in 2006 midterms victory and then in developing a strategy for 2008. And them Obama and Rahm kicked him out...

I agree that the Scream speech was over hyped.  I really think that the media gave him a raw deal in '04 because they were so anti-Bush and knew that Dean couldn't win nationally.
I'd probably vote for Dean over Obama and maybe Hillary but he has said plenty of stupid things over the years.
Ex. claims that he reads the Bible every day yet could not identify his favorite New Testament book
- said that he wanted to be the candidate for guys with pick up trucks and Confederate flag stickers.

Rahm Emanuel is on the blue phone wanting to know why you don't give him any credit for 2006. He also included some very disturbing four letter words in combinations I didn't think possible till tonight.

Dean was an interesting person. My opinion of him has improved in recent years as well.
