Paul would be absolutely murdered. The newsletter controversy, compounded by his views on the Civil Rights Act, would absolutely kill him. Combine this with his views on Social Security (and everything else), and the fact that '08 was a very favorable year for Democrats overall, and it becomes a question of whether he can win any states at all.

I'd imagine Kucinich's VP would be someone like Sanders.
He would probably pick a moderate. Bill Richardson?

How about Blanche Lincoln? I'm sure that would flip some southern states.
No. If John Edwards can't flip any southern states, then neither can Blanche Lincoln, especially if the nominee is Kucinich.

You underestimate just how left Kucinich is.  I mean he is batsh*t insane left.
The American people, sadly, would rather vote for a socialist than an (alleged) racist who wants to get rid of Social Security. Paul would have a hard time being elected if his opponent were Hugo Chavez.

The idea that elderly people in Florida would vote for someone who wants to take away their Social Security is ludicrous.
