The BK Senate Digest

The Hiring Incentives Act is only an hour away from officially passing the Senate, and is on track to be first piece of President Purple State's legislative agenda he signs into law. The bill, which aims to provide direct tax incentives for businesses hiring new workers, passed the chamber with eight votes in favor. Senators Franzl (DA-Mideast) and NCYankee (RPP-Southeast) were the lone votes against the bill, arguing that such a measure shouldn't be instituted without the Senate first providing a means of funding for the benefits provided to businesses in the legislation.

I agree with Franzl & NC Yankee. Knowing the Atlasian Senate, they probably would have just increased the gasoline tax yet again to fund it. Tongue

Perhaps not. Tongue

My agenda should guide the Senate, but I would like to see the proposals Marokai and I push come back to me with more meat on the bone than it started with.
