President Bush is on pace to wreck the nation. The man is so irresponsible.

I don't know what all your fear about Kerry is all about, but I don't want a rebuttle.

Wreck it by defeating our enemies and cutting our taxes and protecting the sanctity of marriage. Yep, we are on the road to destruction.

No one needs to agree 100% with mre, or even 75-80%, but on the issues of trade and immigration, I have had enough. I personally think the GOP would be far better served by having Bush lose and kick all the WSJ/Weekly standard  types out of the GOP and start fresh.  I am willing to take the risj of a Kerry presidency for long term gain, because I think Bush and his ilk are just as bad as liberals.

So what you are saying is that you honestly believe that the neo-cons are as bad as liberals?  What does that make Reagan?

Reagan was in a different era, and I would not classify Reagan as a Neo-Con. Reagan despite some of his rhetoric was not a pure "free" trader, his tresury Sec Baker did not tolerate currnecy intervention as the Bush admin now does(see what Japan has done to keep the Yen artificlaly low, much less China pegging the RMB to  the Dollar). Also back in the 80s, we were still in the Cold War.

Also, Reagan did rapidly increase wasteful social spending as Bush has, and in fact shrunk it in first first term.

Hawk.  Social conservative.  Pro-Israel.  Middle- to Upper-middle, and almost always Republican.

Baker was constantly instigating currency intervention.

According to the Left, the neo-cons are a bunch of Jews.

Personally I don't see why more Jews aren't Republicans.

Neo-conservatives don't mind deficits or a somewhat more activist government, as long as its promoting capitalism and freedom overall.

yeah, that's putting a fine magnifier on it.  Neo (usually new) is described here
http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/003/000tzmlw.asp

This is a bit more old-school
http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/terrace/adw03/peel/refact/cons1830.htm
(that is a term of personal preference, not widely used)

I think I'm old school.  Deficit-hawk; War-hawk; pro-responsibility; socially conservative.

Only, I'm pro-death in all its forms: abortion (pre- and post-birth), homicide, capital punishment, war, the guillotine, euthanasia, etc.

I think it's fitting considering Hitler is my idol (other than the anti-Semitism).  Excepting that he wasn't actually Aryan (I actually am, pure as far back as anyone has records), and that he was actually half-Semitic himself.

Its weird that people refer to only one tribe of Semitic people as Semities, technically the Berbers, the Hebrews, the Arabs, the Babylonians, the Urites, the Syrians, etc are all Semitic peoples.

You'd better see to your indiscretions 'round here, young man.

Arnold was excoriated by the Davis people.  Were you reading that?

It ain't like that.  We need to get past our moral policemen, as a society.  You see that.  Kerry does, sort of.  Bush does, to a slightly lesser degree.  Neither of them are great presidential material, but we're stuck with Bush.  I've moved into the decided camp lately, to be honest.  Kerry will keep his seat as long as he wants it, you know.

There's way too much political correctness, if thats what you mean.

Close on the age, I wish I was that young.  Maybe I could relive those years and not  up college so much.
