1958 wasn't something of a bonapartist event.
The Constitution of the time wasn't presidential and it was the only stabilizing possibility for France.

If you want to vote against presidentialist regime, well, 1962 is the right referendum to oust: de Gaulle himself used an article of the Constitution (11) which DOESN'T give the legal possibility to modify the constitution !!!
It should have been done under article 89...
So, an illegal referendum to create the real presidential regime... Wink
But, anyway, some of you may have other reasons to oust 1958.

As my 1870 vote seems doomed, I'll try this, in order to save 1958:

Eliminate May 2005

Keep September 1958
