Let's say Roosevelt decides to run again and chooses a New VP. The Dems nominate William J. Bryan in his third attempt at becoming President. Debs is as successful as he is in 1912.

You choose the Victor and the VP's

Same thing as in RL. Roosevelt runs on the recovering economy and promises to continue his Progressive agenda. He also says Bryan is too inexperienced to effectively legislate like he can.

Roosevelt/Taft-355

Bryan/Wilson- 128

Why does Bryan win NJ and CT? Also, why does TR win VA & NC?

Bryan wins the two states due to Wilson. As fro Va and NC, Roosevelt cam close in 1904, so i decided to give it too him for the heck of it

lol. Wilson himself couldn't win NJ and CT in 1916, when he was an incumbent. No way he causes a 10%+ swing and gives those two states to Bryan. And no, TR didn't come close in either VA or NC.

I'm just saying it's unrealistic that a VP pick would cause a 10% swing in NJ and CT. Also, I think it's very unlikely for TR to cause a 10% swing in VA and a 5% swing in NC. Only NC seems even remotely possible.

It's OK if you dislike facts. Reagan also disliked them.
