Maryland???

Have any of you actually been to Baltimore???

<10% of the state population lives in the city of Baltimore.

My favorite state would probably be Washington or California. However, voting is closed.

It's like Newark, New Jersey without the pollution...Philadelphia without all of the "charming" people...LOL

Other than that small area they rebuilt around the Harbor, Baltimore is truly revolting...

Best states are Florida, Texas and Georgia.

Believe me, I'm content being a half-an-hour away from Baltimore, a good distance to see a game or go to a museum on a weekend, but I agree, I wouldn't want to be in an inner-city. It's gotten better recently, but most large cities have some areas that are truly revolting. Maryland is great because you can live in a city, suburb, or rural area, you are near DC (always something to see there), and there are all sorts of people. There’s a reason it’s called Mini-America, at least in geographic and cultural ways. Plus, being a solid Democratic state is always a plus.
