http://

1. Goldwater's conservatism looks more moderate compared to Kennedy's moderate conservatism.
2. The country is not in grief over the loss of a president.
3. A much cleaner campaign is run.
4. We wouldn't be changing leaders for the second time in a year.

Kennedy/Sanford:  440
Goldwater/Miller:  98

Kennedy was incredibly popular; his approval ratings only dropped below 60% once.  He would easily win.

Kennedy     55%  425 EV
Goldwater  44%  113 EV

Kennedy wins big! JFK beats Goldwater by +11% in the PV.  Goldwater barely cracks 100 EVs.

Kennedy dominates Goldwater in every region except for the south and midwest. He losses teh south due to his civil rights stance, and Goldwater wins teh other tradtional Republican states. Kennedy changes his VP too.

Kennedy/Stanford- 434

I find this all very interesting, especially since my parents hadn't even been born at these times lol. Kennedy would've been the last likely democrat to have my vote in 1960.  However, I could never vote for him knowing that Lyndon Johnson was going to be president.

What was so horrible about him?

JFK most likely would have dropped LBJ in 64 for Humphrey or Stanford.

Well the seniors better enjoy their healthcare while they still can. Johnson was a socialist who grew the government and took people's money in taxes in the name of helping the poor. Socialism has no place in this country my friend. He spent enough on education to send each school student to Harvard for the year and all it did was create a generation of greed and people who expect things for free. Plus he failed in Vietnam.

Ask old people if they wanted their Social Security and Medicare taken away? Also, ask people if they want their public education and their social services taken away?

Ask young people under 25 if they want to put money aside without gaining interest for something 40+ years from now when they have loans to pay back to the government for school. Ask people if they're happy being dependent on the government for retirement, housing, education, and work. What we should do is nail a going out of business sign on all bureaucracies who control such ares at the government level. They can learn to live off the land too.
