Kerry no hero in ex-crewman's eyes
By Michael Kranish, Globe Staff, 3/11/2004

I'm not voting for Kerry, but I'll take the word of his medals, not the word of a crewman who could have an ax to grind.

For the 2nd time today I find myself in uneasy agreement with a Republican. Smiley I have to say that from that article the guy looks a little fishy. And the things he say don't seem taht incriminating either. If they were true the GOP would be all over it, I mean, not even DRUDGE seem to be running this one. That speaks volumes... Wink

superSoulty, I think you hit the nail on the head man.  There is none.  On an unrelated note, check out the general map from1968.  Weird, ain't it.  Also, the Globe is suspect.  Check out the articles from the late 1990s.  Also check out

The Republicans as usual are trying to have it both ways. Military service mattered when the candidate was Clinton, but now it doesn't.

Personally, I would say that military service is more important post 9/11 than it was pre 9/11, but that's just my opinion.

And democrats aren't trying to have it both ways??  You just did the opposite.  In 1992, when Clinton was a candidate you guys insisted that military service didn't matter.  Now, in 2004, you guys insist that military service does matter.  You're the one trying to have it both ways.  After all, last time I checked, republicans never stopped saying military service mattered.  We still haven't nominated a candidate without military experience.

I think you missed the post he was responding to...your post look really funny b/c of that! Grin

Look at Kerrys testimony before Congress, throwing medals into the dirt, Vietnam Veterans Against the War. You know Vietnam might have not been the best war for us to get involved in but you dern sure don't come home and trash the soldiers and generalize their actions. I find it disgusting. And I also find it questionable that you can shoot someone with a .50 caliber and in any any way be able to "chase" them. As their is NO way you can get hit with a .50 caliber round and get away. If it hit any sort of appendage that appendage would go with it.
