Ah nay.

Nik's stay in the party might've been suspect, but a week?
I agree with Libertas on this one.

Nay and this party is falling to pieces fast.

Yes, it is. I'm not sure any of these votes on the bylaws are valid. There needs to be a full process for amending the bylaws, not just randomly proposing and passing by simple majority in the convention.

This goes for everything voted on going back to the Consolidation Act.

Why don't we just table reform to our Party laws at the moment, and move on to something more important?

Agreed, in light of the clamor that has arisen from all sides.

The amendment is, once more, tabled. For good.

Furthermore, I think for the health of the party we quit talking about how it's "falling apart fast".  Considering the party's success at gaining offices in recent memory that is the wrong attitude we should be having.

I would ask that before anyone posts anything else in this thread that they listen to this first.

I looked over the bylaws and saw this:

Quote

NiK's vote may not count for the simple reason that he did not explicitly sign in (though I didn't see azmagic, electoraljew2 or Mint signing in either - maybe I missed them?)

perhaps just enforcing the convention bylaws as they stand is a good idea for now. these procedural issues are important to consider - perhaps we can find a way to be less reactionary and move toward more consensus. if there's a question about what's necessary to amend the bylaws, we should consider it at some point so that next time we are all on the same page. there's a diversity of views in our party, so there's going to be some contention, but this also gives us the capacity to defend liberty in ways that go beyond common left/right talking points.

Alright, well, with Libertas in and Giovanni out, I'd like to personally request Mechaman make a run for Senate, publicly, and encourage us to support both Libertas and Mechaman.

Alright, I'll do it.
But I can't guarantee I'll be an active campaigner (ie I plan on having a life pretty soon).

I know this isn't needed since I voted him for my third preference - but I'd like to ask those who haven't voted to consider bullmoose for their third preference.
