St. Anns East called for PNM 20-19.

They are 1800+ ahead in St. Joseph now and 1300 in La Horquetta. Looks like 22-19.

Black parties are back in power in Trinidad and Guyana. I wonder if we might see more Indians moving to the US.

While it was a bad election for UNC it was a regular disaster for its two smaller partners in PP. Regionalist TOP lost both the Tobagoan seats to PNM by a huge margin, but Congress of the People fared even worse; (COP) lost 5 of 6 seats and only its chairman Prakash Ramadhar managed to retain his seat in St. Augustine in the NW. They might even have to merge back into UNC, which they originally split from in 2006 under UNC chair Winston Dookeran, who was losing a power struggle against party founder Basdeo Panday (82). It might be time to call it quits, since both sides have new leaders. But even if he is 80+ Panday might still be fresh enough to block this - the old guy is apparently a vindictive bastard.

People's National Movement 23 +11
United National Congress 17 –4
Congress of the People 1 –5
Tobago Organisation of the People 0 -2
